Speaking of Mario: Daughter Dorothy, NYC theater director and ex-AFI film student, is directing her first feature. We wondered what advice she got from her famous father. His tip, as she relates: “Don’t be a pain in the (fanny). Just go out and shoot the film.”

It’s an action-adventure, tentatively titled “Stiletto,” now shooting on L.A. streets for CineTel Films on a $2-million budget. Cop Brad Davis is on the trail of his father’s killer, with rocker Adam Ant doing one of the bad boys.
