Costa Mesa Drug Maker Signs Canadian Accord

International Pharmaceutical Products Inc. said Monday that it has signed an agreement with a Montreal company for distribution in Canada of three generic cancer drugs. Lionel Simon, the Costa Mesa drug maker’s founder and president, estimated that the agreement with Rhone Poulenc Pharma Inc. will provide IPP with as much as $500,000 a year in new revenue. Because two of the three drugs must still be registered with the Canadian government, sales are not expected to begin until after August, 1987, he said.
