Fluor Corp. has appointed Robert L. Guyett, 49, as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Guyett, former vice president and treasurer of LTV Corp., a Dallas-based steel company, also was elected to Fluor’s board of directors and will serve on the board’s executive committee.

Guyett replaces George W. Mefferd, who resigned as a board member, senior vice president and chief financial officer last May. Fluor, based in Irvine, is an engineering and natural resources company.
