La Canada Flintridge Hires Firm to Redesign Foothill Boulevard

The La Canada Flintridge City Council on Monday selected a local landscape architecture firm to design a renovation for Foothill Boulevard.
Larry Moss & Associates of Montrose will be paid $32,000 to draw up a detailed proposal for landscaping, sidewalk widening, street furniture and lighting, according to the program. City officials estimate that the actual renovation could cost as much as $3 million.
Moss serves on the city’s Architectural Review Committee and has been a landscape consultant for the city on many projects, city officials said.
The study is expected to take about two months. The council will then set up a series of public hearings on the proposal and hear comments from residents, Councilwoman Joan Feehan said.
Moss & Associates was selected from among three companies that bid on the project.
