Be careful when you go to the movies with Donna Perlmutter (“Laugh-Track Cinemagoers,” Jan. 4). Check with her first to make sure it’s OK to laugh.

She was so offended at a recent screening filled with “presumably sophisticated patrons” that she was forced to change her seat a couple of times when she discovered the house to be occupied by the thoughtless chucklers violating our critic’s sanity--these cretins were everywhere!

I never thought that I would find anyone who would find anyone who couldn’t use a good laugh.

Lighten up, Donna.
