An increase in profit and revenue for the 1986 year and fourth quarter has been posted over 1985 levels by Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Upjohn Co. Sales for the year rose 14% and profit increased 24%. In the fourth quarter, revenue gained 14% as profit advanced 28%. The results shown in the fourth quarter and full year demonstrate the fundamental strength of Upjohn’s operations, a spokesman said. Two products--Xanax and Halcion--had combined annual sales of more than $400 million.
