The City Council has approved the purchase and improvement of a vacant one-acre lot on the south side of Duarte Road between Bradbury and Broadland avenues that will become a neighborhood park with grassy areas and picnic tables. The project will be paid for with $200,000 in federal Community Block Grant funds and $45,000 in Redevelopment Agency funds.
