Stanford’s Rejection of Reagan Library

What a delightful Times front page this morning (April 14)!

“House Votes to Press for Arms Pacts.”

“Soviets Predict Missile-Cutting Pact This Year.”

“Physicists Cast Doubt on Feasibility of ‘Star Wars.’ ”

“Passengers on Jet Raise $72,000 for Ailing 4-Year-Old.”

But best of all:

“Southland, Not Stanford, to Get Reagan Library.”

San Francisco columnist Herb Caen summed up the sentiments of virtually all Stanford alumni a couple of weeks ago when he said that President Reagan’s book(s) and cue cards belong at USC, not at Stanford.
