Lynn Redgrave will appear in Superior Court today to ask for a new trial after a judge ruled--in her absence--that a settlement had been reached in Redgrave’s $10- million lawsuit against MCA/Universal. Redgrave’s suit, filed in 1981, alleged that Universal fired her from “House Calls” because she wanted to breast-feed her baby, Annabel, during the TV series’ shooting schedule. Judge Jack Ryburn ruled in March that the suit had been settled because of alleged settlement discussions made by telephone between her husband, John Clark, and Universal president Robert Harris in June, 1986. Redgrave, who is appearing in “Sweet Sue” on Broadway, flew home for the court appearance.
