As expected, two newcomers--”The Color of Money” and “Children of a Lesser God”--have rocketed into the Top 10 on the Billboard magazine videocassette rental chart, with “Color” posting up at No. 3 and “Children” hopping up to No. 6. Both are strong contenders for the No. 1 slot, held this week by “Peggy Sue Got Married,” which replaced “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” Another recent addition to the rental chart, “Nothing in Common,” is also a big hit, climbing to No. 8. “Top Gun” is still the best-selling videocassette. “The Deer Hunter,” which won the 1978 best-picture Oscar, is selling again. At a new low price ($24.95), it’s No. 10. Other sales charts: “Sleeping Beauty” and “Pinocchio” are the top kidvid cassettes; “Bon Jovi” heads the music videocassette chart; Bob Mann’s “Automatic Golf” is the No. 1 recreational sports cassette.
