16 CHANTICLEER FILM FINALISTS

Sixteen finalists have been chosen for Chanticleer Film’s Discovery Program, a program for film-industry professionals to receive training as directors.
The finalists include author and former “Star Trek” TV scriptwriter David Gerrold, TV producer John Brice, producer Michael Hertzberg (“Blazing Saddles,” “Silent Movie”), film editor Lisa Fruchtman (“Children of a Lesser God”), documentary directors Arnold L. Leibovit and Susan F. Rogers, film critic Michael Dare and writer-producer Robert D. Resnikoff.
Other finalists are Eric Schiff, Craig Bolotin, Dan Bronson, Ginny Cerrella, Robbie Fox, Jon Povill, Bryan Gordon and Stephen M. Tolkin.
The program, sponsored by the Coco-Cola Co., finances the production of live-action shorts. Six directors will be chosen from the finalists.
