Meese to Head U.S. Group at Drug Talks

VENICE, Italy — President Reagan said Thursday that Atty. Gen. Edwin Meese III will lead a U.S. delegation to Vienna next week for an international conference on drug abuse and trafficking.
The conference, sponsored by the United Nations, will take place June 17-26.
A White House statement, released at the site of the recent seven-nation economic summit which Reagan attended, said the Vienna meeting marks the first time a ministerial-level world conference has been held to deal exclusively with the drug problem.
