Andy Warhol’s daily expense notes taken for tax purposes will be published in the fall of 1988 by Warner Books as the “The Andy Warhol Diaries: 1975-1987.” The diaries are to be edited and annotated by Warhol-confidant Pat Hackett, whom Warhol called every day to dictate his record of expenses from the day before, said a Warner spokeswoman. The last entry for the diary is dated Feb. 22, 1987, the day before Warhol died. Warners wouldn’t confirm reports that it paid $1 million for the rights.
