Ojai Valley Inn Addition Will Open to Public

The latest milepost in the $35-million renovation and expansion of the Ojai Valley Inn will be celebrated Wednesday, when 61 new rooms overlooking the project’s 18-hole golf course will be opened to the public.

The renovation program is being managed by Hilton International. When the job is completed next January, the historic lodging facility near the intersection of California 150 and California 33 in Ventura County will have 218 rooms.

The 200-acre resort’s main building--designed by architect Wallace Neff in 1923--is being restored and two new restaurants will be added. The facility’s eight tennis courts have already been refurbished, and a 500-person conference room and two swimming pools will be constructed.
