Omaha restaurateur Willy Theisen said it would be foolish not to have Farm Aid III in Nebraska, which is why he offered the University of Nebraska-Lincoln $100,000 to hold the benefit concert. Coach Tom Osborne had objected that holding the concert at Memorial Stadium would interrupt the football team’s practice routine. “I like football, but I like farmers too,” said Theisen, founder of the Godfather’s pizza chain. School and Farm Aid officials signed a contract Monday to hold the event Sept. 19 at the stadium.
