Newport Beach’s Louie Loses in Grass Court Final

NEW YORK — Judy Louie of Newport Beach lost to top-seeded Barbara Mueller of Oconmowoc, Wis., 6-2, 6-0, Saturday in the 40-and-over final of the U.S. Tennis Assn. Grass Court Championships at the West Side Tennis Club.
Louie and Claudia Giacomini of Sunnyvale, Calif., beat Ena Harvey and Susan Tully, both of Grand Rapids, Mich., 6-3, 6-4 in the 40-and-over doubles final.
