A Bridge Too Far

About Frank Riley’s article, “Village Seduced a Poet” (Aug. 2): The picture on Page 19 shows the bridge houses of Bad-Kreuznach, a spa on the River Nahe and not on the Mosel as one could assume from the story. Yes, the houses date back to Roman times, but since I grew up in Bad Kreuznach, a lovely town of 68,000 with lots of things to do, I had to write. This gives me a chance to let you know that because of the Travel Section, I subscribe to the L.A. Times. I enjoy it very much--it’s excellent.
