Where are the screams of outraged liberals over Joan Kroc (owner of the San Diego Padres baseball team and widow of the founder of McDonald’s restaurant chain) giving a $1-million gift to the Democratic Party?
Starving children in the inner cities, the homeless in Los Angeles, political refugees from El Salvador--all have a greater need for the money than a political organization. There is truth to the saying that to uncover dirt on the right is investigative reporting; uncovering it on the left is McCarthyism.
