McDonnell Douglas announced that it intends to team with Beech Aircraft Co. of Wichita, Kan., and FlightSafety International of Flushing, N.Y., to propose a new Tanker-Transport-Bomber Training System to the Air Force. The TTBTS is one part of an Air Force program in which pilots are trained in tasks more closely aligned with their future operational aircraft while assigned to Air Training Command, rather than starting that training after being assigned to a major operational command.
