Russian Radar

We can all sleep well at night now that our junketing congressmen have assured us that the Russian Krasnoyarsk radar is not a ballistic missile defense radar after all (Part I, Sept. 9). It’s even more comforting to know that their workmanship is so shoddy. But, I would sleep even better if our fearless travelers had made some attempt to explain the amazing coincidence that the coverage of the Krasnoyarsk radar exactly fills the last gap in the Russian early warning radar coverage. Maybe I should buy some sleeping pills.
