Shoppers at certain Lucky and Food Basket stores in California will be able to use their ATM cards to pay for groceries and receive up to $200 in cash as part of a pilot program with Star System, a San Diego-based ATM system operator.
Cards issued by American National Bank, California First Bank, Great American First Savings Bank and Home Federal Savings & Loan will be accepted at terminals in select stores that will be connected to Star System’s “Explore” point-of-sale network.
