Good Heavens! It’s finally dawned upon someone (Luxenberg) that the reason we haven’t had any world wars since 1945 is that we have nuclear weapons and that the threat of Strategic Defense Initiative might have had something to do with bringing the Soviets to terms.
The next thing we know, it might dawn upon someone that our supporting of the contras might have some bearing upon the peace initiative in Central America, the withdrawal of the Soviets and the reforms now taking place in Nicaragua.
