Lover Fails in 7 Suicide Attempts

TAUNTON, England — A 22-year-old man who broke up with his girlfriend failed to kill himself in seven attempts, police said.
The distraught lover threw himself, at different times, at four cars and a truck, tried to strangle himself and jumped out of a window.
One of the car drivers suffered a heart attack, and two policemen were injured while trying to restrain him, police said. The man, who was not named, was being treated in hospital for minor injuries.
