A suspect in a restaurant bombing that injured six U.S. servicemen has been allowed to leave Honduras for asylum in Mexico, and diplomatic sources said the United States filed protests with both countries. A spokesman for the Honduran Foreign Ministry said that Alfonso Guerrero Ulloa was allowed to leave as a gesture of compliance with the Central American peace plan and its processes. U.S. diplomats in Honduras have insisted that he face trial for the Aug. 7 attack, which injured one Honduran and the American servicemen from Palmerola air base near the capital, Tegucigalpa.
