Lawrence J. Grill has been appointed to the board of directors of Universal Savings Bank, Orange. Grill’s appointment follows the decision of Unity Corp., Universal’s Australia-based owner, to restructure the board, as required by the Federal Home Loan Bank, to accommodate a certain number of U.S. executives. Grill and George Hale, appointed chief executive officer last July, will serve as U.S. directors. Grill operates Lawrence J. Grill & Associates, a Woodland Hills-based financial and management consulting firm. In 1986, Grill was appointed special adviser to the Federal Home Loan Bank, where he has participated in the management consignment program, designed to help stabilize and improve operations at S&Ls.;
