The body of an 81-year-old woman was found floating underneath the Broadway Pier at 8:50 a.m. Friday by a San Diego Unified Port District employee, Harbor Police said.
San Diego County Deputy Coroner Robert Grubb said the woman appeared to have been dead about 12 hours.
The woman’s identity was not released Friday pending notification of next of kin. She was a resident of San Diego.
The cause of death could not be immediately determined.
