A military judge in Argentina freed 64 more rebel soldiers accused of taking part in last month’s revolt at an infantry garrison and several other military installations and detachments around the country. Only 56 of the 328 troops originally charged in the uprising remain in jail. A military judge ordered the 64 freed after an investigation showed they were not active participants in the Jan. 16-18 events, the army said. The revolt was sparked by Lt. Col. Aldo Rico to back his demand for amnesty for military officers accused of human rights violations under the former military government. Rico and 55 supporters are still imprisoned.
