Even the most still of still lifes needs a soda sometimes. Especially if the painting in question is more lively than still--as are these from an exhibition by Stephen Taylor Woodrow in New York’s New Museum for Contemporary Art. The artist reported he was interested in exploring the gray area between the observer and the observed in a gallery space. So far, museum officials say no one has fainted from the sudden manifestations of Woodrow’s experiment. The show runs through Valentine’s Day.
