Prince Bobby B. Wins Feature at Santa Anita

Prince Bobby B., making his first start in nearly six months, held off Presidium to win Friday’s $50,000 feature race at Santa Anita by one length before a crowd of 31,535.

Prince Bobby B., the 8-5 favorite ridden by Bill Shoemaker and carrying 116 pounds, covered Santa Anita’s 6 1/2-furlong turf course in 1:15--fastest time of the winter meeting--and paid $5.20, $3.20 and $3.60.

Prince Bobby B. was making his first start since Aug. 20 at Del Mar. The victory was worth $27,500.

Presidium, ridden by Gary Stevens and carrying 114 pounds, finished 1 lengths in front of Will Dancer and returned $5 and $4.40. Will Dancer, ridden by Aaron Gryder and carrying 111 pounds, returned $3.80.
