Firm to Execute Architecture for Senior Facility

John Bates Associates, a Newport Beach-based architectural/land planning firm, has been awarded a contract for the design and construction management of the new $1.75-million Pico Rivera Senior Center.
The 16,000-square-foot facility, adjacent to Smith Park, is expected to accommodate 400 senior citizens and be utilized on a daily basis.
The center will include a small theater, meeting rooms, art center and facilities for the senior lunch program.
