CALIFORNIA - News from March 10, 1988

Guillermo Martinez has been named director of news and public affairs of Univision, a Spanish-language television network. Tony Oquendo has been appointed general manager of Univision’s Network Operations Center in Laguna Niguel.

Martinez, 46, was most recently news director of Univision’s Miami affiliate, WLTV-Channel 23. Previously, he was a senior editor with the Miami Herald. Oquendo, 39, was operations manager of WLTV-Channel 23 for seven years prior to joining Univision.
