Local News in Brief : Santa Clarita Seeking Parks Commissioners

The city of Santa Clarita is accepting applications for five positions on its newly created Parks and Recreation Commission.
Commissioners will receive $35 for each meeting they attend, or a maximum of $140 per month.
Applications are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at City Hall in the Valley Business Center, Suite 101, 21021 Soledad Canyon Road.
The deadline for returning applications is April 25.
