Lee G. Camp was named to the new position of vice president and general manager-information services of Pacific Bell. Camp, 45, has been vice president-market planning and development and the company said his appointment to the new job represents “a major step in its commitment to develop information services” such as electronic mail and voice mail.

David L. Wibbelsman, 51, will replace Camp as vice president-market planning and development. Wibbelsman was formerly Pacific Bell’s vice president-operations north.

Thomas G. Cross, 46, has been elected a vice president of the company and will replace Wibbelsman as vice president-operations north. The company said there will be no replacement for Cross, formerly executive vice president and chief operating officer of PacTel Corp.
