D. Steven Tipton was elected vice president-production of ConVest Energy of Houston. A registered petroleum engineer, Tipton served from November, 1985, until this February in a similar position with Utex Oil, a Salt Lake City independent oil and gas company.
ConVest Energy buys oil and gas properties and is involved in exploration and development drilling through limited partnerships.
