Robert B. Dunlop, 62, has been named senior vice president-components group at Seagate Technology, Scotts Valley, and a member of the corporate management committee. Dunlop retired from IBM in 1985. Since his retirement, Dunlop has served as a consultant to Rolm Corp., a division of IBM. Seagate manufactures hard disk drives for small computers.
