Saliba & Co., a Los Angeles insurance brokerage serving Southland business and industry, was acquired by Marsh & McLennan of New York, one of the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance brokers as well as benefits-consulting firms. Saliba, which traces its origin to 1929, will become part of M&M;’s Los Angeles office within the firm’s Pacific South region. Its chairman, Thomas L. Saliba, and executive vice president, Gregory D. Davidian, will become, respectively, a managing director and a senior vice president of the acquiring firm.
