A woman accused of killing her boyfriend’s parrot in a Los Angeles apartment last month by baking it in an oven after an argument was charged Thursday with felony animal cruelty.
“This is sick,” Dist. Atty. Ira Reiner said, calling it “one of the worst cases of pet abuse that I’ve heard of.”
If convicted, Guadelupe O. Rodriguez, 25, of Los Angeles, could be sentenced to up to three years in state prison.
