OCC Qualifies Four for Rowing Finals

Orange Coast College qualified all four of its boats for the finals in Saturday’s preliminaries of the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships at Lake Natoma outside Sacramento.

OCC’s junior varsity eight won its qualifying heat over the 2,000-meter course in 6 minutes 10 seconds. Washington won the other in 6:12.

OCC won its freshman eight heat in 6:13, its novice eight heat in 6:12.5 and its varsity four heat in 7:04. The finals in all divisions are today.
