‘Mountain Man’ Captured in Death of Woman Hiker

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Authorities Tuesday captured a “mountain man” and charged him in the fatal shooting of a woman hiker and the wounding of her companion on the Appalachian Trail. Stephen Roy Carr, 28, was seized after a two-day manhunt and charged with murder, criminal attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
