‘A Penny Isn’t Enough’

So what’s the big surprise here, guys? I mean, what’s a penny? That’s right--nothing. Simple economics should have told Sacramento that it takes 100 pennies to make one whole dollar. Take your shoes off if you can’t count that high! And where do I store my 100 cans, bottles and plastic containers? Even rinsed out they attract bugs.

A more feasible plan would be mandatory recycling on garbage pickup days. A can for plastic, glass bottles, aluminum and newspapers. But no . . . that’s much too logical for Sacramento. So until you raise the return fees to something economically feasible, I will continue to throw my recyclables out with the garbage.
