Robin Monsky, the Atlanta Braves’ former media information director, filed a slander suit against recently fired manager Chuck Tanner, claiming Tanner told people she was incompetent and had engaged in sex with a newspaper reporter “in exchange for favorable consideration.”
Tanner said: “It’s an outright lie. I would never make a statement like that.”
