The Minnesota Strikers and St. Louis Steamers folded, leaving the Major Indoor Soccer League with nine franchises. Tim Robbie, executive vice president of the Strikers, said that his parents and team owners, Joe and Elizabeth Robbie, will terminate the franchise rather than post a $400,000 letter of credit.
