Raising the Retirement Age

I have one thing to say to Charles Krauthammer--leave the Social Security System alone! When will these know-it-alls learn to leave well enough alone? Here, we are afforded the luxury of predicting a trillion dollar surplus, mind you, and already the technocrats are figuring out a way to tamper with it. That’s been the problem all along. When Social Security was first funded, it was actually sound. But, when our Washington spendocrats got wind of those funds just lying around collecting interest, they just had to raid the till.

Now I say enough is enough! Let these funds accumulate. Let their interest accumulate. And, let Krauthammer and his similarly feathered friends be encouraged to continue working as long as they wish.
