Clark Advances in Women’s Tennis

Doris Clark of Laguna Beach defeated Eleanor Harbula of Sylmar, 6-4, 7-6, to advance to the final of the women’s 60-year-old age group Sunday, highlighting play in the International Tennis Federation Veteran Championships on Thursday.

Clark will face Virginia Glass of San Diego, who defeated Maria Blom of the Netherlands, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the other semifinal Thursday.

Tony Proden of Irvine, a former teaching pro, upset Gardnar Mulloy of Fisher Island, Fla., No. 2 seeded player in men’s 70s, 6-1, 6-4.
