Mike Downey’s column on diver Bruce Kimball was excellent. Kimball’s insistence on competing in Indianapolis was predictable; his previous actions speak for themselves.
What is indescribably repugnant is the conspicuous silence of the U.S. Olympic Committee. What are we to make of this? Are they simply gutless or uncaring of human life?
