Liberals and Conservatives

Sometimes Conrad’s cartoons seem obscure. Sometimes I don’t agree with him. His “Dukakis is a Liberal” cartoon reaffirmed my lifelong support of the liberal viewpoint.

The constant denigration of liberals by the Bush-Quayle duo had left me depressed and feeling almost guilty for my beliefs. Now, thanks to Conrad, I’ve been reminded that there’s nothing wrong with espousing a philosophy, as he defines liberal. In fact, I’m proud of my political leanings.

Our society will never achieve its potential greatness if we bow to the selfishness, greed, and shortsightedness of the conservatives.
