Continental Airlines asked the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington to order the Transportation Department to comply with its earlier decision awarding the lucrative Seattle-Tokyo air route to the Houston-based carrier. Last week, the department had decided that despite the earlier appeals court decision it was going to reconsider the selection of Continental to fly the route.
