Unilever U.S., the American subsidiary of the Anglo-Dutch consumer products giant, announced that it was buying Durkee Industrial Foods Corp. from Hanson PLC for $185 million. Cleveland-based Durkee produces frozen bakery goods and frostings for the food-processing industry. Under the terms of the agreement, Unilever will purchase Durkee’s industrial foods and food-service assets.
