Graham Nash has asked a few of his good buddies--David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Jackson Browne and Randy Newman--to join him Saturday in a four-hour broadcast designed to raise money for UNICEF and other children’s organizations. More than 125 stations are expected to participate in the radio concert (including KLSX-FM, 97.1, in Los Angeles) broadcast, which will emanate from the Palace in Hollywood. The show, emceed by Nash, is being used to raise $500,000 through telephone pledges for the U.S. Committee for Hunger and World Hunger Year. “I wanted to start with the basic element--the children,” Nash said. “You have to think what’s important to you. I decided to concentrate on the children and improving their life from day one. They are the future.”
