A Name Remembered

Jane Wilkie’s article, “The Game of the Name” (Oct. 23), Traveling in Style, says that “Capability” Brown’s (a master landscape gardener in a past century who designed the grounds of many famous estates) Christian name was “lost to memory.” This is not so. His Christian name was Lancelot, according to a guidebook from Blenheim Palace.
